Trixie’s story is unique in the location, timing, and photo documentation. Yet hundreds of pigs have a similar story to Trixie. Pig overpopulation and rescuing escaped pigs is an every-growing problem to manage. There are not enough pig rescues and sanctuaries to keep up with the need … or to be able to commit to giving these pigs a quality life for their 10-20-year lifespan.
